Juventus have announced that they have terminated their contract with Argentina's former player Angel Di Maria.

The 29-year-old has returned to his former club Benfica after being released by Juventus in the summer transfer window. The Italian giants had been looking to keep hold of the talented forward for another season, but it seems that he has now decided to leave Turin and join his old club.

Di Maria is one of the most gifted wingers in world football and has won numerous honours throughout his career. He spent six years at Manchester United before joining Paris Saint-Germain in 2015. During his time at PSG, he helped the club win two Ligue 1 titles and one Coupe de France.

However, he struggled for game-time under Mauricio Pochettino and was eventually sold to Real Madrid in 2017. After a disappointing first season in Spain, he made the move back to Manchester United in 2018, where he played for two years before leaving on a free transfer.

Now, he has returned to Benfica, where he hopes to rediscover his form and help the Portuguese side challenge for the title. It will be interesting to see how he performs under new coach Jorge Jesus and whether he can make a successful comeback at the highest level of football.
